Jason Crain Portrait

Jason Crain is a freelance photographer based in mid-coast Maine specializing in weddings, portraits, editorial, photojournalism, and fine art photography.

He received an Associate of Arts degree in Photography from the Maine Media College where he focused on documentary photography and black and white darkroom printmaking.

He worked with the Maine Media Workshops as a teaching assistant for two summers both with the young photographerÂ’s program as well as with the adult workshops. Jason then worked as a photographic assistant to Brian Vanden Brink, Architectural Photographer from September 2005 to September 2011. He has also had the pleasure of helping photo archivist Kevin Johnson with the Penobscot Marine MuseumÂ’'s extensive glass plate image archive.

Jason loves telling personal stories with photographic portraits and documentary images. Whether you're looking to capture hundreds of fleeting moments on your wedding day or one portait that reveals a life, he is eager to help.

Jason is available for teaching and consultation in photography.

Please feel free to contact him directly with any questions.
